Please note that “Letters of Intent to Request Funding” will only be considered if received by email to giveonelegacyfoundation@gmail.com before November 30th. Use the subject line in your email of: FUNDING-Letter of Intent.

If your application for funding is considered by the Give One Legacy Foundation Board, you may be required to submit more information prior to receiving funding approval.

Note: If your project is supported, we may not be able to provide the full amount requested.

Donation Request Guidelines

We are committed to giving back to the community and the people in it. Below are some basic guidelines to help you understand our charitable giving strategy and to help you prepare your submission. If you have questions, please reach out by email to giveonelegacyfoundation@gmail.com.

Format and Content:

The Letter of Intent must include a short summary of the project, its objectives, and the anticipated impact on the participants and community. It should not exceed two pages in length and must be submitted electronically to giveonelegacyfoundation@gmail.com.

Priority is given to LOCAL charities who strive to better the community. (Lethbridge & southwestern Alberta)

Recipients must be willing to provide a photo or testimonial about the benefits the grant has made within the next 12 months.

Indicate when the funds will be used, and for what purpose.

All requests must be submitted by email.

*Please note: For 2024, requests for funding support must be made on or before November 30, 2024 to be considered for funding distribution on December 16th.

The foundation’s Board of Directors will review all LOIs based on established criteria, which include, but are not limited to:
• Alignment with the foundation’s mission and goals.
• Feasibility of the proposed project/service/program.
• Potential impact on the targeted community or issue.
• Sustainability and scalability of the project.

The board will complete its review by early December. Applicants will be notified in advance if more information is required. Funds will be made available as soon as mid December.
